Charles Linden Method

Hi everyone,

I'm Kelly, one of the owners of the site and am myself recovering from agoraphobia. I've improved a lot over the last 10 years but still face some daily struggles. I've read a lot lately about the Charles Linden Method - it's also been endorsed by 2 celebrities in the press very recently (Linda Robson and Jemma Kidd) which makes me feel like it could be worth a try.

I'm always a little bit skeptical about paying for therapy DVDs, but I'm seriously considering going for it and wondered whether anyone has had any experience of using this program themselves? I'd be really keen to hear any feedback before I take the plunge! :)

If I do decide to go for it, I will off course let you all know my feedback!

Thanks,

Kelly

Interesting to know how you get on Kelly of you decided to go with it.

However, my views on such courses.

First off, I have a lot of respect for self help dvds, cds etc and they can help, however, there is no "one size fits all" in therapy, your issue is individual to you.

Taking hypnosis as an example, a cd can get results (as can a hypnotherapist merely reading a script to you),but a good hypnotherapist is working with the client, watching the client and tailoring the session to the client, their issue, and their responses, locking the change to the client.

Obviously, agoraphobia can be debilitating, and going to see a therapist is an issue in itself, however a lot of therapists are happy to work over the phone or on Skype.
