Talking to somebody about a phobia can give you amazing support and therefore many people extend this into tackling their phobias on a regular basis. If you have an issue with animals then perhaps visit a zoo with a friend or, if you have a problem with crowds, why not go out with your friends to a crowded shopping mall. It may take some time to perfect this technique but the more in control you feel the less impact your phobia will have and the better your quality of life.
